DGLS: Joshua Harper presents "Drawing the Line: Historical Connections in the Music of Caroline Shaw"" In-Person
When Caroline Shaw won the Pulitzer Prize for music in 2014 for her piece Partita for 8 Voices, she became the youngest winner of the prestigious award. The piece embodies multiple facets of Shaw's life, ranging from Bach to Folk Music of her North Carolina roots. These connections caught the attention of and resulted in collaborations with Beyonce and Kanye West to name just a few.
